NSFW Section Community Guidelines

1. Introduction and Scope

1.1. These Starbloom Streaming NSFW Section Community Guidelines ("NSFW Guidelines") govern the separate, age-gated NSFW Section of the Starbloom Streaming platform. The NSFW Section is a distinct area of the platform that permits sexually explicit content, separate from the SFW content tiers (General, Mature, and Adult SFW).

1.2. These NSFW Guidelines are incorporated by reference into the Starbloom Streaming Terms of Service (Section 16.1) and supplement the SFW Community Guidelines. All universal prohibitions set forth in Section 3 of the SFW Community Guidelines apply with equal force within the NSFW Section.

1.3. These NSFW Guidelines apply to all content formats within the NSFW Section, including: livestreams, VODs, short-form video, long-form video, images, text chat, DMs, and comments.

1.4. Access to the NSFW Section requires that the user or creator (a) be at least 18 years of age, and (b) have completed third-party age verification in accordance with ToS Section 2.3. Both viewers and creators must satisfy these requirements before accessing any NSFW content.

1.5. Starbloom Streaming Inc. is not a producer or coproducer of user-generated NSFW content. Each creator is the sole producer of their content and bears all legal obligations associated with that role, including recordkeeping obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2257.

1.6. The NSFW Section is not available in all jurisdictions. Starbloom geo-restricts access in countries where adult content is prohibited by law and in jurisdictions where compliance with local requirements is not operationally feasible.

2. Creator Eligibility and Verification

2.1 Creator Account Requirements. Only Creator Account holders may publish content in the NSFW Section, as specified in ToS Section 3.3(b). To be eligible, a creator must satisfy all of the following conditions:

  • The creator must be at least 18 years of age.
  • The creator must have completed enhanced identity verification pursuant to ToS Section 7.5(a).
  • The creator must have executed the Creator Monetization Agreement and submitted all required tax documentation.

2.2 18 U.S.C. § 2257 Recordkeeping. Starbloom is not the producer or coproducer of user-generated NSFW content. Each creator is the sole primary producer of their content and bears full responsibility for compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75. Creators must maintain records establishing that all individuals depicted in their content are at least 18 years of age. Creators must certify compliance with § 2257 recordkeeping requirements at the time of each upload or broadcast and upon request by Starbloom. Creators must be able to produce such records for inspection within 24 hours of a request from Starbloom or any authorized government entity.

2.3 Consent and Depicted-Person Verification. Creators must obtain informed, documented consent from every individual depicted in their NSFW content and must certify that all depicted individuals are at least 18 years of age. Creators may optionally upload consent documentation (model releases, identity verification records) to Starbloom for safekeeping. When a creator features another Starbloom creator in multi-party content, the featured creator may be tagged; the platform will auto-verify that the tagged creator has completed 18+ identity verification. For depicted individuals who are not Starbloom creators, the publishing creator must independently maintain separate consent and age-verification documentation.

3. Prohibited Content in the NSFW Section

All universal prohibitions from the SFW Community Guidelines (Section 3) apply without exception within the NSFW Section. The following additional prohibitions and restrictions are specific to the NSFW Section.

3.1 Absolute Prohibitions (No Exception). The following content is prohibited under all circumstances:

  • CSAM and minor-adjacent content: any content depicting, suggesting, or implying the involvement of minors, including "barely legal" framing, age-play involving minors or purported minors, school uniforms or props designed to suggest a minor, or any performance in which a performer role-plays as being under 18.
  • Nonconsensual acts: depiction of real nonconsensual sexual acts; rape or sexual assault presented approvingly or without clear fictional framing and disclaimers.
  • Snuff content: real or realistic simulated depictions of death during or in connection with sexual activity.
  • Real gore: real depictions of severe bodily injury, mutilation, or death in a sexual context.
  • Bestiality and zoophilia: sexual acts involving animals.
  • Necrophilia: sexual acts involving human remains or depictions thereof.
  • Incest: sexual content involving real family members; simulated incest content involving performers who are actual family members.
  • Abuse: sexual content depicting or glorifying domestic violence, coerced acts, or sexual abuse.
  • Prostitution and solicitation: using the NSFW Section to solicit, advertise, or facilitate prostitution or escort services.
  • Intoxication and consent: content in which any depicted individual appears intoxicated to the degree that legal consent cannot reasonably be established.
  • Illegal drugs: use, display, or promotion of illegal drugs or controlled substances during NSFW content (cannabis exceptions are addressed in Section 3.2).
  • Real firearms: real firearms may not appear in sexually explicit content; only clearly identifiable prop weapons are permitted, subject to mandatory disclosure under Section 3.2.

3.2 Restricted Content (Permitted with Mandatory Disclosure). The following categories are permitted only with mandatory content tagging and viewer warnings:

CategoryConditions
Scat contentMandatory content tag and viewer warning prior to playback or stream entry.
Watersports contentMandatory content tag and viewer warning prior to playback or stream entry.
Cannabis usePermitted only in jurisdictions where cannabis is legal; mandatory content disclosure tag required.
Extreme BDSM (breath play, choking, bondage with restricted breathing, blood play, needle play)Mandatory content tags, viewer warning, and a visible statement that all acts are consensual and performed by informed adults.
Consensual non-consent (CNC)Mandatory "fantasy/roleplay" content tag; on-camera consent from all performers must be included in the video or stream; no language, props, or framing that could be confused with actual nonconsensual activity involving a real, non-consenting person.
Simulated incest (unrelated performers only)Mandatory "fantasy/roleplay" content tag and viewer warning. Content involving real family members remains absolutely prohibited under Section 3.1.
Prop weaponsMandatory disclosure tags identifying the weapons as props.

3.3 AI-Generated Sexually Explicit Content. AI-generated sexually explicit content is prohibited entirely in the NSFW Section. This prohibition covers AI-generated images, video, audio, and livestream overlays or filters that produce sexually explicit output. AI-generated likenesses of real persons in a sexually explicit context are prohibited under both these Guidelines and the SFW Community Guidelines. Non-generative AI-assisted editing tools, such as color correction, audio enhancement, and non-generative filters, remain permitted.

4. Content Tagging and Classification

4.1 Mandatory Tagging. All NSFW content must carry applicable content descriptors selected from the Starbloom standardized tagging system at the time of upload or before a livestream begins. Creators are responsible for selecting every tag that accurately describes the content. The standardized tagging system includes, but is not limited to, the following categories:

TagDescription
SoloContent featuring a single performer
PartneredContent featuring two performers
GroupContent featuring three or more performers
BDSMBondage, discipline, dominance, submission content
FetishContent centered on a specific fetish
RoleplayScripted or improvised roleplay scenarios
CNCConsensual non-consent fantasy content (Section 3.2)
ScatScat content (Section 3.2)
WatersportsWatersports content (Section 3.2)
Simulated IncestSimulated incest between unrelated performers (Section 3.2)
Extreme BDSMBreath play, blood play, needle play, or similar (Section 3.2)
CannabisCannabis use during content (Section 3.2)
Prop WeaponsClearly identifiable prop weapons (Section 3.2)
Body PaintingBody painting or body art content

Starbloom may update the standardized tag list at any time to reflect new content categories or regulatory requirements.

4.2 Content Warnings. Content involving any restricted category under Section 3.2 must include a viewer warning that displays before playback begins or before the viewer enters a livestream. The warning must identify the nature of the restricted content in plain language. Viewers must affirmatively acknowledge the warning before accessing the content; passive dismissal (such as auto-timeout) does not satisfy this requirement.

4.3 Enforcement Consequences. Creators who fail to apply accurate tags or who omit required content warnings are subject to enforcement action under Section 10, including content removal, reclassification, and, for repeated violations, escalating penalties up to permanent revocation of NSFW Section access.

5. Conduct Standards in the NSFW Section

All conduct standards set forth in the SFW Community Guidelines (Section 4) apply in full within the NSFW Section. The provisions below supplement those standards with requirements specific to the NSFW environment.

5.1 Harassment, Hate Speech, and Impersonation. Sexual orientation, gender identity, body type, and sexual preferences are not acceptable bases for harassment, discrimination, or targeted abuse. Violations of this provision are subject to enforcement under Section 10 of these Guidelines.

5.2 Viewer Conduct. Viewers in the NSFW Section must adhere to the following rules:

  • Viewers must respect creator boundaries as communicated on stream, in channel descriptions, or in content descriptions.
  • Unsolicited sexual messages or requests directed at creators in DMs, chat, or comments are prohibited where the creator has not invited such interaction.
  • Coercive tipping, defined as conditioning tips or gifts on the performance of specific acts or exposure, constitutes harassment and is prohibited.

5.3 Creator Conduct. Creators in the NSFW Section must adhere to the following rules:

  • Creators must not pressure, coerce, or manipulate other creators or depicted individuals into performing acts to which they have not consented.
  • If a co-performer withdraws consent during a livestream, the creator must immediately cease the relevant activity.
  • Creators must not share private content, DMs, or personal information of viewers without the viewer's express consent.

6. Monetization in the NSFW Section

6.1 Astral Essence (NSFW Virtual Currency). "Astral Essence" is the virtual currency used exclusively within the NSFW Section. Astral Essence functions in the same manner as Starcoins (tips, gifts during livestreams, VOD tips) but is priced at a higher rate per unit to reflect increased transaction costs associated with NSFW content processing. Only users aged 18 or older who have completed third-party age verification may purchase Astral Essence. Astral Essence is not transferable between the NSFW Section and the SFW tiers; the two currencies (Astral Essence and Starcoins) maintain separate, non-fungible balances.

6.2 Revenue Split. The revenue split for NSFW creator earnings is 80% to the creator and 20% to Starbloom, consistent with the SFW revenue structure. Minimum payout thresholds, applicable fees, and payout schedules are governed by the Creator Monetization Agreement.

6.3 Prohibited Monetization Practices. The following monetization practices are prohibited within the NSFW Section:

  • Using tips, gifts, or Astral Essence to solicit or incentivize illegal acts.
  • Offering sexual services in exchange for Astral Essence, Starcoins, or real currency, which constitutes prostitution or solicitation and is prohibited under Section 3.1.
  • Engaging in fraudulent or misleading tip-incentive schemes, including promising specific content in exchange for tips or Astral Essence and failing to deliver that content.

Violations of Section 6.3 are subject to enforcement action under Section 10, up to and including permanent account termination and law enforcement referral where applicable.

7. Livestream-Specific Rules

All rules governing livestreams under the SFW Community Guidelines (Section 6) apply in full within the NSFW Section. The following additional requirements apply to all NSFW livestreams.

7.1 Pre-Stream Content Tagging. All NSFW livestreams must be tagged with applicable content descriptors from the standardized tagging system (Section 4.1) before the stream goes live. Streams that are not properly tagged prior to broadcast are subject to enforcement action under Section 10.

7.2 Boundary Communication. Streamers must establish and communicate their boundaries to viewers at the start of each stream or in their channel description. Boundaries may address permitted chat topics, tipping expectations, and the scope of on-stream activity.

7.3 Consent Withdrawal. If a co-performer or guest withdraws consent during a live broadcast, the streamer must immediately pause the stream or cease the relevant activity. Failure to do so constitutes a violation of these Guidelines and may result in immediate enforcement action.

7.4 Unauthorized Individuals. Streamers are responsible for ensuring that no unauthorized individuals, whether on-camera or off-camera, are visible or audible during the broadcast without documented consent.

7.5 Prohibition of Public-Location NSFW Streaming. NSFW livestreams must be conducted in a private, controlled environment. Streaming sexually explicit content in any public location is prohibited. Prohibited locations include, without limitation: streets, parks, businesses, vehicles in public areas, and any location accessible to the general public. This prohibition exists to prevent bystander exposure, public indecency liability, and consent violations.

7.6 Permitted Private Locations. NSFW livestreaming is permitted in private locations where access is controlled and all individuals present have consented. Examples of permitted locations include private residences, private studios, rented production spaces, and hotel rooms.

8. Chat, DMs, and Comments

8.1 Applicability of SFW Rules. All universal prohibitions and chat, DM, and comment rules set forth in the SFW Community Guidelines apply in full within the NSFW Section. The provisions below supplement those rules for NSFW-specific interactions.

8.2 NSFW Conversation. Sexually explicit conversation in chat rooms, comment sections, and DMs is permitted within the NSFW Section, provided such conversation does not violate any absolute prohibition listed in Section 3.1 of these Guidelines or any applicable law.

8.3 Sexually Explicit Images in DMs. Sharing of sexually explicit images via direct messages is permitted only when both the sender and the recipient have completed third-party age verification pursuant to ToS Section 2.3 and the recipient has affirmatively consented to receive such images. Unsolicited sexually explicit images in DMs are prohibited regardless of the verification status of either party. Violations of this provision constitute harassment and are subject to enforcement under Section 10.

8.4 Creator Chat Moderation Responsibilities. Creators are responsible for moderating chat activity within their channels. Starbloom provides chat moderation tools, including automated filters, word blocklists, slow mode, and user timeout or ban controls. Creators may appoint moderators to assist with chat oversight. Appointed moderators are bound by these Guidelines and the SFW Community Guidelines. Failure by a creator to address persistent violations in their chat may result in enforcement action against the creator's account under Section 10.

9. Thumbnails and Discovery Assets

9.1 Visibility Restrictions. NSFW thumbnails, preview images, and all other discovery assets (including channel banners, clip previews, and promotional tiles) are visible only within the age-verified NSFW Section of the platform. These assets must never appear in any SFW browse feed, search result, recommendation carousel, or any other surface accessible to users who have not completed age verification.

9.2 Prohibited Thumbnail Content. Thumbnails and preview images must not depict any content falling within the absolute prohibitions set forth in Section 3.1 of these Guidelines. Thumbnails must not contain content that would violate applicable federal, state, or local obscenity law. Starbloom reserves the right to remove or replace any thumbnail or discovery asset that violates these requirements without prior notice to the creator.

9.3 SFW and NSFW Content Separation. Starbloom maintains strict separation between the NSFW Section and the SFW content tiers (General, Mature, Adult SFW). NSFW content, including thumbnails, metadata, tags, and preview assets, must never surface in SFW discovery systems. This separation is enforced at the platform level; creators may not attempt to circumvent content-separation controls by embedding NSFW imagery in SFW-tier assets or by cross-linking NSFW content in SFW channels.

9.4 Enforcement. Violations of this Section 9, including the use of prohibited imagery in thumbnails or attempts to surface NSFW content outside the NSFW Section, are subject to the enforcement actions described in Section 10 of these Guidelines.

10. Enforcement Framework

Starbloom enforces these Guidelines through a graduated system of actions. All enforcement actions available under the SFW Community Guidelines apply equally in the NSFW Section, with one additional NSFW-specific action described below.

10.1 Enforcement Actions. Starbloom may impose any of the following actions, individually or in combination, at its sole discretion:

ActionDescription
WarningWritten notice identifying the violation and required corrective steps.
Content RemovalRemoval of the offending content from the platform.
ReclassificationReassignment of content to a different classification tier.
Temporary SuspensionTime-limited suspension of account access or streaming privileges.
NSFW Access RevocationRestriction to SFW tiers only; the creator or viewer retains their SFW account but loses all NSFW Section access.
Permanent BanPermanent termination of the user's account across all platform tiers.
Law Enforcement ReferralReferral of relevant evidence and account information to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

10.2 Immediate Action Violations. The following violations result in an immediate permanent ban and law enforcement referral without prior warning:

  • CSAM or minor-adjacent content (Section 3.1).
  • Content depicting real nonconsensual sexual acts.
  • Snuff content.
  • Content involving individuals who have not been age-verified or who have not consented to appear.
  • Bestiality.
  • Real firearms appearing in sexually explicit content.

10.3 Escalating Enforcement. The internal escalation framework, including specific strike thresholds, is not publicly disclosed. Failure to maintain records required under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 may result in immediate suspension pending remediation. Repeated failure to apply required content tags for restricted categories (Section 3.2) results in escalating enforcement up to and including permanent NSFW access revocation.

10.4 Appeals. Users subject to enforcement action may appeal through the same process described in the SFW Community Guidelines. For users located in the European Union, Starbloom provides a statement of reasons for each enforcement decision and an internal complaint-handling mechanism in compliance with the Digital Services Act.

11. Geo-Restrictions and Jurisdictional Compliance

11.1 The NSFW Section is not available in all jurisdictions. Starbloom geo-blocks access to the NSFW Section in countries where adult content is prohibited by law and in jurisdictions where compliance with local requirements is not operationally feasible.

11.2 All users, whether viewers or creators, must complete third-party age verification before accessing any NSFW content, regardless of jurisdiction. This requirement applies universally and is not limited to jurisdictions with specific age verification mandates.

11.3 In jurisdictions with specific age verification mandates, including US states with active age verification laws and countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia, Starbloom's third-party age verification process is designed to comply with applicable requirements.

11.4 Starbloom reserves the right to add or remove jurisdictions from the geo-restriction list at any time without prior notice as legal requirements evolve.

11.5 Users who attempt to circumvent geo-restrictions (for example, through the use of a VPN or proxy service) to access the NSFW Section from a blocked jurisdiction do so at their own legal risk and in violation of these Guidelines. Circumvention may result in enforcement action, up to and including permanent account termination.

11.6 The geo-restriction list is maintained operationally by Starbloom and is not published within these Guidelines. Because the list is subject to frequent updates based on evolving legislation worldwide, Starbloom maintains it as an internal operational document. Users with questions regarding availability in a specific jurisdiction may contact legal@starbloomstreaming.com.

12. Reporting Mechanisms

12.1 Reporting Channels. Starbloom provides the following channels for reporting violations of these Guidelines within the NSFW Section:

  • In-app reporting: Users may report content, accounts, or conduct directly through the in-app reporting tool available on all NSFW content pages, chat interfaces, and user profiles.
  • Web form: A dedicated reporting form is accessible through Starbloom Support for users who prefer to submit reports outside the application.
  • Email: Reports may be submitted via email to support@starbloomstreaming.com for general reports, or to legal@starbloomstreaming.com for legal matters.
  • Child safety: Reports concerning a minor — including CSAM, minor-adjacent content, grooming, or a performer who may be under 18 — should go to safety@starbloomstreaming.com, which reaches our Trust & Safety team directly and is monitored at all hours. Do not attach or forward the material; a link is enough, and possessing or transmitting it is an offence in most places even when the intention is to report it.

12.2 Statutory Removal Requests. Removal requests submitted under the TAKE IT DOWN Act are processed in accordance with the Terms of Service, Section 4.4 — see Removing Intimate Images. DMCA takedown notices are processed in accordance with the Terms of Service, Section 5.4 — see Copyright and DMCA Policy. Users submitting such requests should follow the procedures and provide the information specified in the applicable ToS provisions.

12.3 Priority Review. Reports involving any of the following categories are flagged for immediate review and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or minor-adjacent content — see Child Safety.
  • Nonconsensual intimate imagery, including content distributed without the depicted individual's consent.
  • Suspected human trafficking or sexual exploitation.

Starbloom may preserve and disclose relevant account data and content to law enforcement agencies as required by applicable law or as necessary to protect the safety of individuals. All users are encouraged to report suspected violations promptly through any available channel.

13. Updates and Changelog

13.1 Starbloom reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace these NSFW Section Community Guidelines at any time. The process for updating these Guidelines is consistent with the update process described in the SFW Community Guidelines.

13.2 When Starbloom makes material changes to these Guidelines, it will provide notice to users through one or more of the following methods: (a) a prominent notice within the NSFW Section of the platform, (b) email notification to registered Creator Account holders, or (c) a platform-wide announcement. The updated Guidelines will include a revised "Last Updated" date at the top of the document.

13.3 Starbloom welcomes community input on proposed changes to these Guidelines. Consistent with the SFW Community Guidelines, Starbloom may, at its discretion, solicit feedback from creators and users before implementing material revisions. Community input may be gathered through surveys, public comment periods, creator advisory channels, or other mechanisms designated by Starbloom. Participation in any community input process does not confer a right to approve or reject proposed changes.

13.4 A changelog documenting all material revisions to these Guidelines is maintained and published alongside this document. The changelog includes the date of each revision and a summary description of the changes made. Users and creators are encouraged to review the changelog periodically to remain informed of updates.

13.5 Continued use of the NSFW Section after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines. Users who do not agree with the revised Guidelines must discontinue use of the NSFW Section.
